Jane Baumgartner Named Assistant Principal at Rogers Middle School

On Sat., July 22, 2023, the Affton School District Board of Education approved the hiring of Jane Baumgartner as Assistant Principal for Rogers Middle School for the 2023-24 school year.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Jane to the Rogers family. Her passion and commitment to ensuring the academic, social, and emotional success of our students at RMS is evident and inspiring,” said Dr. Kevin Griffin, principal at Rogers Middle School. “I am confident that her experience as a teacher and leader, as well as her commitment to continuous improvement, will allow her to have a positive and lasting impact on our students and staff.”

Baumgartner has served as a middle school business and computer science teacher for Parkway School District since 2015, where she also served as After School Activities and Athletic Programs Director and substitute administrator at Parkway Southwest Middle School. 

“I couldn’t be more honored and thrilled for this opportunity to be the next assistant principal of Rogers Middle School,” said Baumgartner. “I am so excited to support the growth of our students and staff and am eager to begin building collaborative relationships with all who will be instrumental in making our community successful. I’m ready to meet and learn from all of my new friends in Affton and can’t wait to get started!” 

In addition to her administrative experience, Baumgartner served as Executive Assistant to the Superintendent at Webster Groves School District for two years and taught business and marketing at the high school level in Alabama for four years. She earned a bachelor of science in business administration at the University of Alabama-Huntsville, where she attended on a volleyball scholarship, a master’s degree in business education from Auburn University in Auburn, Ala., as well as an educational specialist degree in administrative leadership from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo.

Baumgartner grew up in St. Louis, Mo., and she currently lives in St. Louis Hills with her partner and their two dogs, Frankie and Winnie. She enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, playing and coaching volleyball, and spending time with friends and family, including her 10 nieces and nephews.

Baumgartner will begin serving as assistant principal at Rogers Middle School on August 1.
